Divide your outdoor space into sections…
Now we know that at first this might seem a bit strange – why would you want to divide your outdoor space into sections? Well, think of it more in terms of mapping out the areas that will be used and how they will be functional. For example, if you know that you want to have a patio with seating, a sports court, a BBQ and a fire pit – that is a lot to put in a 
space. Map it out on paper, consider how the sections relate to each other. Do you want the sports court away from the BBQ? Do you want the BBQ close the kitchen? Do you want the fire pit close to the patio and the seating area close to the BBQ? Having well defined spaces for specific activities will help increase the overall flow of your outdoor space. Many times people randomly place things here or there without giving much thought into it. When dividing these spaces, consider how many people you will be entertaining as well.
Determine what type of BBQ you want…
Outdoor living in Florida incorporates food, family and friends! BBQ’s these days can be incredibly simple or they can be full extensions of a kitchen. When considering the type of BBQ you would like to have, take into consideration the type of meat that you would like to BBQ. Do you need a smoker? Do you need a rotisserie? In addition, what about sides? Do you need a stove? An oven? Outdoor kitchens can literally be as elaborate as you wish!
Determine the materials…
Obviously considering that our name is Legacy Pavers, we believe that pavers are a stunning material to work with and they come in dozens of colors. While we believe this is the best material to work with but it doesn’t mean that you have to think the same thing. The next step is determining what type of materials that you want to use in your outdoor space. The options are nearly endless; the materials can range from pavers to concrete or anything else!

When planning your outdoor space, it is easy to get carried away and go over budget. We recommend establishing a budget ahead of time.
